Drink Up! Mocktails for the Holiday Season

I have a secret. I am making an admission. For most of my adult life, I am what most people call square or a buzz kill. Yes, at parties and professional events I stick out like a sore thumb. Not for the way I dress or act it’s because I don’t drink. Only until I turn I the big 5-0 did I take my first drink. I had champagne for New Year's Eve and a chocolate cosmopolitan for my birthday. I have tried a fruity wine because they say a glass of wine is good after dinner. After trying all of that, I have to say I am one of those rare people that do not care for it.
I don’t like the way it burns my throat and the wine I did have made me a little tipsy. I just didn’t like it. For most of my life, I drank virgin cocktails or as they are called now mocktails. On days I was really tired I got out the sprite and the minute maid frozen berry juice and made a faux cosmopolitan. I made sure my sex and the city martini glasses were chilled, had a steak dinner, and enjoyed myself.
I searched Pinterest for new ideas for mocktails. Because after all it's 2020 and we all need a drink no matter what it’s made of. Am I right?
